
2012 Info Clinics
Info Clinics offer participants the opportunity to learn about the challenge in detail – the current theme, the event rules and regulations. Open to the public, attendees can ask questions of the engineers who designed the challenge and see a mock-up of the Test Rig.

Joseph Zsutty will be our featured guest speaker for the January 21 and 28 Info Clinics.
Joe is a registered Civil Engineer specializing in structural design and stabilization. He has worked with the urban search and rescue California Task Force 3 (CA-TF3) for 15 years and is their lead structural specialist. He is also attached to the South San Francisco Fire Department’s special operations group for heavy and technical rescue.
While with the Task force, Joe has been deployed to the 1999 Taiwan Earthquake, the 2001 New York Twin Towers Attack, Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and subsequent responses to Hurricane Ernesto and Hugo. He has also served as an instructor for the FEMA Structural Collapse Technician and Heavy Equipment and Rigging class. Locally he has worked with the South San Francisco and San Francisco Fire Departments on events such as fires, building collapses, and explosions.
Joe is currently the Principal Engineer of Zsutty Consulting Engineers, a South Bay structural consulting firm.
